October 5, 2024, is a day Sarah Beth and I will never forget. Surrounded by family and friends, we said “I do” in the most beautiful ceremony and celebrated well into the night. The whole day was a reminder of just how blessed we are. Around 200 guests joined us throughout the celebration, with a few adventurous souls taking full advantage of Camp Overstayers Campground.
The ceremony was perfect—seriously, it went off without a single hiccup. Every detail was exactly how we imagined, thanks to our amazing coordinators, Monica Belcher and Lisa Toopes (and their helpful husbands!). They took care of everything, leaving us free to enjoy every moment.
Standing at the altar, I couldn’t have been prouder to have Myles beside me as my best man. My daughter Morgan was an absolute rockstar as the Maid-of-Honor, and Sophie sprinkled petals like a pro as our flower girl. Sully did the honors of walking Sarah Beth down the aisle, and her brother, Lucas.. sealed the deal by officiating our marriage with a heartfelt and touching ceremony.
The food? Oh, man, 2 Dudes BBQ hit it out of the park. With brisket, pulled chicken, and all the fixings, there wasn’t a soul left hungry. And Patriot Cakes outdid themselves with desserts that catered to everyone’s needs—including some stellar gluten-free and dairy-free options. If anyone left unsatisfied, it wasn’t for lack of trying!
We owe a big shoutout to our bartenders, Josie and Kaylor, who kept the drinks flowing and the good vibes alive. They mixed up signature cocktails like pros and had everyone refreshed and ready to dance the night away.
Speaking of dancing, DJ Caleb Leamon kept the floor packed all night long. With beats that had even the most reluctant dancers grooving, the energy stayed high from start to finish. And let’s not forget Tyson Leamon, whose beautiful voice added a soulful touch to the evening’s most special moments.
Our photographer, Brandon M. Johnson (check out his work here), captured every laugh, every tear, and every dance move we didn’t know we had. His photos will keep the magic of the day alive for years to come. And the photo booth? Let’s just say it was a huge success. We now have a collection of hilarious strips we can use to remind our friends of their finest—and most embarrassing—moments for years to come.
We can’t say thank you enough to everyone who made this day what it was. To all our friends and family who showed up, showed out, or sent us well wishes from afar—your love made this day truly unforgettable.
As the night wound down and guests gathered by the fire at Camp Overstayers, we reflected on how blessed we are. This day wasn’t just about two people getting married; it was about the joining of two families and the joy that comes from being surrounded by those we love.
From the food and music to every heartfelt hug and shared laugh, God’s presence was in every detail. We’re so grateful to have started this new chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
Here’s to love, family, and every dance-floor moment shared. Until the next big celebration (because we all know there’s another one coming), thank you for making October 5, 2024, a day we’ll cherish forever.
With all our love,
James & Sarah Beth Knox
